About the band:
Emily & the Simons are an Anglo-Belgian Balfolk trio. They met in England’s Peak District, at the folk festival “Skint” and began to perform together professionally soon after. Their music is centred around Emily’s compositions, drawing inspiration from life's encounters and the energy of the dance-floor.
Their style is highly expressive and improvisatory, full of passion, tenderness and playfulness. With a wide repertoire ranging from exquisite, sensual mazurkas to joyful, driving bourrées, their music transports the imagination, stirs the feet and uplifts the spirit.

Family Barn Dance
Family fun for EVERYONE. Simple enough for the littlest dancers but fun for the big ones too. Enjoy a multi-age community dance.
Contra Dance
New England and French Canadian long-ways dances. Fun for all levels. No experience necessary. Kid from about age 8 can easily follow along with a grown-up partner.
Regular events are generally held on Sunday afternoons. Our Contra Dance Evening Dances with live music happens just a few times a year. Subscribe to our mailing list for up to date information!
Event locations change sometimes. We are still searching for our "forever home". If the location isn't posted here, just send us mail. Karlsruhe is driving distance from places such as Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Strassbourg. Come dance!!
